500 MS BLOCK

A block crosses the wire every half second. The pen inks the clock tick. It does not wait.

LIVE NUMBERS ONLY

Every figure on screen is measured in this session. Nothing smoothed, nothing borrowed.

SHORT COMMANDS

01 · THE NUMBER

Everyone has a personal equation

Your lag against a 500 ms block is a number. Measure it. Log it. Shrink it.

MEASURE+0ms, first lock
LOG0transits a night
SHRINK±0ms, target
02 · THE DRUM

Line by line, the marks converge.

Black tick: the clock. Violet tick: your key. Each lock feeds a new line off the drum. The bracket between the two is the gap.

ABOUT · HOW IT WORKS

A block every 500 ms. A key under your fingers.

The star crosses the wire when the block lands. You press the key when you think it did. The pen inks both. The distance between the two marks is your gap.

Rules of the night

{{ t.l }} {{ t.r }} {{ t.d }}

Twelve transits a night. Three clean locks logs it. Three lost locks, or twelve transits without three clean, and the night is lost. The key recoils for 600 ms after each lock.

First night: turn on the guide wire. It shades the next crossing and widens clean to 60 ms. After two locks, press Apply equation to cancel your lag.
